vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Can't install new style?

So I'm working on a friends new site and I have no idea what the previous guy did. And he's no where to be found to ask questions.

The problem is, he installed a style, 1 parent, 1 child. The site is currently using the child. The owner wants me to start testing new styles but none of the styles I'm trying seem to install right. OR if they install correctly, they seem to be overwrote by the current style. If i didn't know any better it looks like the style was hard coded in. I even add a new style to get the default style and NOTHING. It looks like the current style with just a few images from the default vb4 style.

Anyone have any idea whats going on? thanks in advance!
