It looks like your off to a good start however, keep working on your style , and im sure you can achieve a great unique site... keep up the good work ... Customize the menus too , that would be nice .

Overall i would rate a 6 out of 10 , and thats because of a good nice header you got going on , hope it helps .

If you take your time and develop a nice background... one that goes well with your header and flows down the page to a certain point then half of the stuff Xtrato mentioned will not be that noticeable, the grey is killing it softly imo.
