They were disabled by default for performance reasons, you can re-enable them via the Instance Management options

Thanks for replying so fast Fillip!! I tried re-enabling them here:

Enable Context Menu
This will allow you to globally disable the advanecd context menu when clicking on a member's name in the Shoutbox.
Enabling the context menu adds a large amount of data to each AJAX request, but enables quick access to member and moderator actions.

but nothing happens except clicking on the name redirects me to the members profile!

As for the Log question a deletion tool for large logs or the like would be handy for admin, but I understand your reasons for not adding it also. I'll see how the lite version goes then I maybe forced into buying the pro version later on lol
