Well, we have previously tried some similar photo galleries and integrated them with joomla, WP and a few other CMS and other bb softwares(not vB)

You could try:

But among all of them "Coppermine Photo Gallery" was the best for us.

I'm not sure if you already knew about it, but its lite, has the basic stuff and pretty decent, you could give it a try if you like.
