vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Whats the deal with Social Groups?

I have never quite understood what members would use social groups for. All you can do is share photos and have 'private' discussion with members of that group. What's the point? How are you supposed to market something like this when there aren't even any attractive features such as video uploading facebook inegration, downloads area etc, or eve a decent looking GUI.
