does anyone know what file to edit to change the address for referral?

it says this:
http://www.yoursitecom/forum/forum.php?referrerid=1

i want it to say this:
http://www.yoursite.com/forum/register.php?referrerid=1

i'm running vb 4.1.1 and when i direct people to the address provided it does not put the referral name in the referral field when register is clicked.
