If people actually read the agreements you must agree to in order to use a service or product, No one would actually use the internet, most just click here to agree.
That may not be the right thing to do, but I'm sure most people don't have lawyers on staff to peruse these agreements, that in most case's protect the seller, and not the end user, so if your going to use anything on the internet, you are going to agree to the online agreements provided by every single service on the internet. or you will not even sign into the internet.
With all that said People in here give that information out on a regular bases, when haveing mods installed or even the forum software installed by people that are not the end user. This actually voids their contract, because they have violated the terms of the user agreement.
So later when a pirate board pops up using their information are they to have their license revoked. If so then that practice should not be allowed and people should know that they could later lose their lic because of some thing they allowed because they just wanted their board up and running.
and before anyone get's all defensive, I'm just saying people have got this guys info in some way. we may never know who or how but I think he has probably had someone that once had access to his lic info. So is it his fault ?, if so oh well but if not and somehow his information was hacked in email, that would be the issue, maybe that information shouldn't be sent over the internet, maybe it should be saved on a secure server and you would have to log into that location to retrieve the information that is normally sent by email to customers! after purchase.
just a thought
