This option changes the permissions of the mod/super mod groups.

For Super Mod go to ACP -> Forums and Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> And Edit the permissions for the Fired Mod or Super Mod.

This thing has happened to me, and this is the way that I've used to solve it.
