But the downside is you won't see any PMs already sent before you install.

Or there is "Read PMs" https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91369 which is for VB 3.5 but still "mostly" works on 3.8- some formatting is bad but it gets the job done... you can read PMs sitting in anyone's Inbox or Sent items, but if they delete them you won't see them.

For total coverage you need both mods.
