wel first off, you'd need more than HTML...

I created a PHP script to read directly from my database and pull the last 10 threads from the news forum...

You'll need some PHP skills.

Or use a CMS, and setup your forum to output RSS, then use the CMS to pull in the RSS feed (assuming it's 2 different hosts). Otherwise the CMS should be able to pull it form the DB... look up vBadvance
