Go into your AdminCP > Styles and Templates > Style Manager:
For the style Christmas 2010 click on All Style Options : Go
The templates will be shown. Scroll down until you see the block headed Time Color. On the left of the box below Standard CSS Attributes you'll see entries for Background & Font Color. Delete this text in the Background box: url(christmas/misc/nav_fill.gif) repeat-x top left
If you want to change the background and font color further, just enter the appropriate hex codes for the colors you want to use. You can find a list of color codes here: http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm
Remember to click Save CSS when you're done.
