its far too large , i dont know why they made it like that, but in any case... their website is a FIXED Size , so they can actually position the Background so it will sit right in the middle... so it looks like its spurs out of the sides....... kind of like my site , check it out.. www.vbdesigners.com , how you can make a similar effect even with a Fluid site... the ideal size would be perhaps 1800PX.. screen nowadays are getting bigger , and so does their resolution.. so that would be a safe bet shall we say.. then since most likely your minimum width is about 800PX .. or 1024X , then you can just leave a space in the middle of that size.. to avoid an oversize bg (in terms of sizekb etc..)...
so do it trough the BODY tag , just under your CSS:
body {
}
and just place it on center top , that should do the trick.

So would i be better off having my site as a fixed size instead of fluid?
Still a bit lost with this
Way beyond my skills to be honest
Fancy giving me a hand on this Xtrato? What kind of pricing would you charge?
Thanks,
Andy

Ok, i made an image which you can find on this style -
http://www.eteknix.com/forum.php?styleid=27
It simply is a black background with eTe wrote on it which i can see fine on my 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 monitors but my friend on his laptop cant see it at 1280x800.
Any ideas?
My site is using a 78% width so that it adjusts to the resolution of the monitor.
Thanks,
Andy
