Honestly perhaps you can do some more unique work to the header , logo , and colors .. its very dull, unappealing to the eye i'd say.. the content seems to be good , but you can definitely improve the site .. take a look around at your competitors , or similar sites .

My Suggestion is : Change up the logo a bit , make it more appealing .. it might just be me but those colors dont blend very well... if you are doing this on your own , consider taking some online tutorials on designing and choosing colors , it can help you a bit more... try pixel2life.com ..

I am doing the design and development by myself. Sure, i will look into some tutorials and websites to tune up the header and logo design to make it more appealing.
