What is wrong with asking the admin? That's a perfectly good answer. I get asked on my site about certain mods through the Contact Us link. If it's publicly available I give out a link. If it's custom, I say so. I've even been known to go install my custom mods on other sites for admins that I've known for a while. And yes, they are fellow torrent site admins (maybe we are a non-competitive group because we don't try to make money off our sites?).
