The current version's "Hide" functionality is really only meant as a way to prevent "thank you" post spam for those forums who enforce contributor recognition.

However, the next version, which is currently in development, will have updated HIDE functionality through a BBCode (similar to current Hide-hacks) which - assuming I can figure it out - support true content hiding
