Totally new to VB (so don't shoot me if this is obvious!), still deciding if its what we want to be honest but it looks promising.

Anyway is it possible to have a forum which is viewable by all but which only moderators can post in?

Also tied in with this is it possible to have a forum which only mods can post new threads in but users can post replies to?

For example we want a news forum but only mods can post new threads but users can reply.

Also is it possible to have a certain forum not visible in the main board but visible if you go directly to it? I know you can have private forums etc but I wouldn't want it private just not in the main section...
