Create a facebook application. http://developers.facebook.com/setup/

Make sure you enter your URL to the forum and basic data. Also ensure the URL is submitted in the Canvas page fields.

You will also need to ensure your server has SSL support either through OpenSSL or CurlSSL.

Once that's checked, go to your AdminCP > Options > Facebook and enter the data they ask for.
