for number 1 you need to put in a support ticket

for number 2 visit your admincp --> click the forums & moderators tab... assign from there

number 3 totally depends on how active your forums are, for small places I would suggest locking after 1 year without a post for larger forums I would go with 3-4 month's.

*assign someone to a category & they become mod for all child forums within that category.
