Mike and Kier have been coding for a long time. They cant do that for free. People have to eat. Its nothing more than logical they sell the beta version. And for a beta version of release 1.0 its looking pretty good.

Everything costs money. If they sell enough licenses they will hire more devs. Which in turn means XF will expand in functionality. So thats good for xenforo customers and also
for vbulletin customers because competition is good and raises the bar.

I think $100 is very cheap for a license that is valid for 1 year after the Gold version.
