vb.org Archive - View Single Post - CMS Article Preview Background

on the home page, where the article's show previews, i would like to create a background for them to organize them a bit. I know it's possible because vb.com's blog system has something similar, look here to see what im talking about - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php

Notice how the first four blogs have that nice blue background around them? Then the rest show up and it's ugly and plain as sin. Does anyone know of a way to do this?
