To insert the automatic navbar link it relies upon the "navbar_buttons_{location}" template hook in the "navbar" template.

In your custom style's "navbar" template, make sure these lines are present in there...

$template_hook[navbar_buttons_left]
$template_hook[navbar_buttons_right]
