Mixing postbit and postbit legacy

Hi

I downloaded a style for vB3 and I noticed it had mixed both postbit in the first post and the rest of posts using postbit legacy

Which is really neat.. its more like the Chief Post mod or something like that but its not it.

How can that be done?
