I have little skills but im trying to learn

VB3.8.6 forum and i have vbseo pluging showing in CP. It was previously downloaded and installed.

The vbseo site map is working but i have disabled the vbseo plugin because you have to edit your htaccess files and quite frankly, i dont know how to

So i was searching the forums looking for answers and it appears that this is a paid Mod.

If so, how can i tell if the person that i bought the forum from installed a legit version or a "nulled" version?

Obviously i dont want an unlicensed version on my site, but it also could be the reason that im having the httaccess issues, if it is indeed htaccess. The symptoms were every link was showing 404 not found, after it was activated. Deactivating resolved the issue.

So is the mod paid, where can i source DETAILED instructions oninstalling and troubleshooting.
