The more you add, the slower it will get. This is why you should always evaluate each addon carefully and weigh the benefits vs the resources it will take up.

Try disabling a big addon or two and see if the server responds faster. Then turn one on one by one to find the offending addon. This is of course if there has been a recent addon installation.
