The cron runs every minute but the miner does not contact xbox servers every minute. There are internal timers in the script that will only allow one gamercard to be updated per day and they are spread out over the course of the day. The cron running every minute is to ensure that all gamercards are updated throughout the day, increasing the time will only make it fetch more cards when it does check.
