vb.org Archive - View Single Post - How to set up the "welcome, <name> areas like vB.org

By default, vB has the Welcome, <name>, unread posts, last visit, etc. stuff set to run on four lines. I wanted to try to do what vB.org has done with them being on only two. My goal is to save some of the depth I feel is wasted under the header.

Any suggestions? I'm working with 3.7.3 but about to make the jump to 3.8.6. Thanks.
