Hello, please can someone point me in the correct direction to this problem and if there is a plug-on / solution to this problem.

My website was taken down earlier due to a high load on the hosting server. The person suggested a "caching mechanism" where the script does not need to generate a new page with every request which helps to lower the over load that a script will cause."

Is there a tool/plug-in which can help do this?
