You need to buy a certificate from your whoever you have your domain name through. Then you need your own IP address and have your hosting service add the SSL for you (any decent one will...). Then you just go through and edit the links on your site to have some of them be HTTPS...

Hope that helps, its been a long time since I set this up. and I've never renewed my cert (but who cares huh! LOL)
