vb.org Archive - View Single Post - how to access avatars in file system from a URL?

If your avatar is stored in the database you can access it via:
http://YOURDOMAIN/forums/image.php?u=userid

But if the avatars are in the file system that link is blank... any other way to access via userid where you don't know the exact name of the avatar file?
