I personally don't like the inbuilt vbulletin option.

It doesn't allow you to specify a max height, also you cannot click to see the full image.

Give me this mod over the vbulletin option anytime.

No it doesn't. Maybe need to remove the reference to the new vbulletin option in the css which may restore functionality to this mod ? I will have a play a bit later.
