From what version are you upgrading? If from 3x then all your mods would need to be upgraded as well. If from a lower vb 4x version, then probably all the mods will work without change or with very mimimal changes. Hope it helps.

P.s. A word of advice on upgrading, if I may, make sure to make a thorough backup of your db first. Also make sure that it is done properly.
