In my opinion that is a very handed and much needed option in support forums. Especially after seeing how many people don''t follow the rule of not bumping their posts/threads unless 24 hours have passed. If you have additional important info to add, you can edit your original or last post and add that info there rather bumping your thread. It is not about not being interested in reading and skipping it as you put it, but it is about following the rules

At least that is how I see it.
