I was wanting to create my own custom templates under my current skin. I don't want to use the original navbar. I want to create an all new one with totally different links than the forum one has.

The original has Forums, Whats New then below it has New Posts and Form Actions and all of that. I want to make a new custom template using a whole separate navbar but it will look the same but at the top have like Index1 Index2 Index3 below it will have actions yo can do on the page. Something like that.

How can I do this in an easy way? How would I call to the new template as I have tried duplicating it custom_navbar1 then trying $navbar1 and $custom_navbar1 yet doesn't work but i think for using that you need to add more so how can I do this. Please Help
