Thread: made a backup of my forum, restoring it doesnt work

I dont know if this could have anything to do with it, but when i backed up the files i did it through the file manager in plesk. the site is on a godaddy virtual dedicated server with plesk 9.3. i went into the file manager in plesk and copied all the files to a separate folder. then when i tried to restore the site i also used the file manager to copy all those files back to their original location.
That was a bit overdone in my opinion. Anyway, you say that you deleted all the files and wiped the db and then tried to restore the files again. How about the db? Did you try to restore that as well?
