Additional fields on post pages on only some forums. Is this possible?

It seems hopeful. Is there away to only have the field appear on some posts? I'm looking to have a date and country at this stage. I'm currently using prefixes for the dates.

Does vbulletin have anything like cck (content creation kit) in drupal?
