I am not sure if it is a coincidence, but it started doing so as soon as I upgraded to 4.0.3 and it even happens in FireFox.

Mind you that it does not occur on my 24" monitor which uses a large resolution but it does occur on my 15" laptop which uses a lower resolution.

Any fix please?

If this is happening then it most likely a vb4 problem not this mod issue, i guess; and as you said it is not happening with wide monitors.
