Disable the Gallery popup menu navbar plug-in in the plug in manager (set Plug in is Active to No) and then add direct links to the gallery PHP scripts in your own navigation e.g. your_forum_home_page_url/albumall.php and your_forum_home_page_url/picall.php.

Yes, it is weird

If the gallery menu isn't appearing in the navbar then the hook location isn't in the navbar template (or the vb system has been severely hacked). try disabling any other nav mods you have.
