Yep.

After removing all of the product it still throws the same error, and I'd assume it's the widget being created because the forumblock creates just dandy.

The code inside the widget that gets created is:

$output = date(vB::$vbulletin->options['dateformat']) . "<br />\n";

Which would explain why it only dumps a date value...
