Before i bought vBgallery i installed both Gallery and coppermine, and i found them both too hard to integrate properly with my web-page style, sharing user database, and my other needs. So vBgallery both look good, was an easy choise because of less work, and is much more "out of the box" compatible with vbulletin than the other alternatives.

I am sure giving photopost time to release the update will pay off for you, instead of going for one of the other alternatives.
