Since the release of vB 2.2.0, and John's statement that this will be the last update until version 3 arrives next year, I've decided to go ahead and start implementing a few of the more involved hacks into my forum (most of which require the addition of new tables in your database).

My question is: when the day vB 3.0.0 does come out, and I upgrade, will these database extensions and additions wreak havoc on my forums? Since I'm not a PHP or MySQL guru (:stupid
