So I'm curious Dons. If these things were necessary when you made your decision to buy vBulletin, why did you buy it? They certainly were not listed as features of the product.

I need these things too (at least the digest email - or formal support for the Community Bulletin), but the other things that vBulletin brought to the table made my decision easy without them.

I'm getting more and more pressure to support a daily digest mode email so I'm probably going to have to install the Community Bulletin and figure out how to run it from a cron job - though I'm not keen on running a hacked board, since I don't want the maintenance overhead. I went with a purchased product with 90% of the features I needed to keep me from having to wrote software myself...
