Clicking on categories in admincp you're getting the top category lists. If you want to add a subcategory to xxx category, then choose subcategories from the droplist on the right side.

1st: Check carefully that there are no options for microCMS. Maybe they're at the top or at the bottom.

2nd: Check that you've uploaded file: your_forum_dir/includes/xml/bitfields-microcms.xml

3nd: If both of the above are as describted, then try a trick. Remove the file at (2nd). Just go inside any usergroup. You'll see a message "Rebuilding bitfields". Now upload the file at (2nd). Go again to any usergroup. You'll see again this message, and for sure the options should be there.

That worked for me, thank you very much I was confused as I wasn't seeing the microCMS link in the admin menu.
