The export link isn't working for me when i click that archive link. I dont have the permission it says. The usergroup permissions are fine.

Then you didn't edit the usergroup permissions IN the MGC settings (not in the Usergroup settings).... Go through ALL your MGC options. I think it's one of the top 3 settings. And if you only want to save it for a week or 2, no need to export. Clearing it makes no sense. Just set the history to the last 100-200 posts and the archive does the rest.
