I think you're mixing up what the Long Tail site said with what vB.com told you. All the Long Tail site was saying was that if you have knowledge of HTML you can implement the JW player. That's not the same as allowing your users to POST in HTML, which would not at all be required to post a video using AME and the JW Player.
Note that this definition, being that I've done all the back end design, wouldn't even require you to know that much.

You are correct. I was missing those things.
As a helpful suggestion this would be good information to include
on the AME mod thread or in the MOD/product description itself.
