I think you could just write a plugin to not enter posts from that forum as last posts. I've never done that, so I can't give specifics, but I would look into the area of the page that sets the last post info and see if there is a hook location around there.

Forum Permisssions > find the forum > select the usergroup > uncheck Can View Others Threads and Can Reply to Others' Threads
