That issue always existed. I guess we can't fix it easily from our side, though I'm not sure about it.

the error is as following:

The "ms_leaders_ugp_permissions" usergroup column isn't part of DownloadsII. The error is caused by another mod.

Deleting those add-ons isn't a problem when you did before running the upgradetov6.php upgrade script. If you do it afterwards, it will throw a database error (when uninstalling the product, not when using the usergroup permissions).
But of course, uninstalling means that you lose the thread add-on data. That's why I don't recommend uninstalling it
