Besides the opinion of moderators/ employees of vbulletin.com...

the switch from Joomla to vbulletin (style wise) and even functionality is definitely possible...no matter what style your using. I find it easier applying design techniques to vbulletin than Joomla (of course, I'm still new to Joomla)

Anyways, there are stylers that can design any theme you want on vbulletin. Make the switch, or regret making it a few years down the line.
