Yeah, exactly.

Basically you'd need to set it up something like this

Cat 1
  |- Forum 1
  |- Forum 2

  |-Cat 2
        |- Forum 3
        |- Forum 4
  |-Cat 3
        |- Forum 5
        |- Forum 6

If you select Cat 1, Forum 1 and 2 will appear.

If you select Cat2 or Cat 3, you get nothing.
