I am sorry if I am asking the question that was answered before.

I have recently tried to upgrade to ver 4.0 but was not successful 9I will try again in near future). So I am back to 3.8.4 version. Now if new visitor is trying to create custom avatar following message occurs:

There was an error encountered with your upload:
Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

Avatars are stored in file systems (i.e. avatars in ./customavatars, etc). The permission is 777 si it should be writable. I also did diagnostic check that tmp is writable and it is working.

Any idea how can I fix it?
