And that is both sad, and silly.
From an energy expenditure point of view, the many, many installs that vB has to not support a tool like this is just wasteful, and I think spiteful of a community that is quite frankly keeping them in business. Consider this, I have only edited the CSS variables within my 3.8.X theme. I then have to do that for EVERY single instance of that within the new template system. So what did take me an hour, is now going to take me 5. Times that by the number of installs, add on to each install the amount of time, and money, and general resources like food it takes up. We are talking about a colossal amount of waste here because the vB devs can't be bothered to properly support their own product. This is a farse.
While I wrote that, I'm not an eco nut as one would be lead to believe. However, I can apparently paint anyone on the far side of eco friendly. I will in my next post paint the vB dev team as the 'third biggest killer' should they keep crap this up. I wonder how much bad PR I can generate before they ban me?
